About Martin
Martin Faulks is considered by many to be one of the most effective publishing professional in the United Kingdom today. He certainly has a talent for building a vibrant publishing program that gains attention in the media and a buzz online, indeed any project he is involved in seems to catch mainstream press attention.
His career highlights include best-selling titles in the Mind Body Spirit genre such as “Turning the Hiram Key,” “The Rosslyn Hoax,” “The Secret of Solomon’s Temple,” and “The Genesis of Freemasonry,” all of which gained extensive national coverage.
He was also responsible for the publication of three books by legendary pop producer Pete Waterman, including the “Fame Factor: The Guide to Getting the Most out of Your Talent.” Most recently, Martin has promoted his own works on Ninjutsu and his time studying with the Ninja in Japan. Anyone who reads newspapers could scarcely have missed the press coverage for the Norfolk, or Norwich, Ninja.
Indeed, Martin seems to have a talent for making sure that the projects he is involved in are featured on television, radio, and in newspapers.
But Martin’s work hasn’t been limited to books. He has also promoted pop artists, movies, and DVDs. Most impressively, Martin was in charge of the online promotion for the first Tescos-funded movie, “Paris Connections,” which the press called “The Start of Trolleywood.” And you can see Martin thanked in the credits. Martin also produced Norfolk based thriller “Evil Never Dies” and has also been involved in other film projects and DVD projects, with companies like Halo Films and Channel Four and the Discovery Channel.
About Martin’s Training
Martin describes his training ‘My training and life’s work has been to learn and master the art of meditation. To do this I have practiced with unbroken discipline and also studied with the greatest circumspection. Practicing meditation as taught in the works of Franz Bardon daily and for over 20 years while gathering what is of use from the different traditions, monasteries, and spiritual schools – wherever they may be.
My studies have been directed by my personal development rather than any worldly motive. Whenever I come up against a barrier in my learning or need a new skill to continue improving, I have sought out a teacher who can help or specialises in that skill or ability. This process has taken me across the world to study under Hermetic and Rosicrucian masters in Bohemia and to masters of Chinese Taoism, Indian Yoga, and even to the legendary Yamabushi monks in the mountains of Japan. At all times my mind has been directed towards learning what is needed to evolve and continue my spiritual development.
My inner quest is to discover my full potential through the art of meditation and to use this skill to make the most of my time on earth and have the most beneficial effect while I am here. To bring out the best in myself in order to be of best service to the world.
For me meditation is the ultimate skill in my training, the mastery of which leads to mastery of all other skills. The potential that lies in our own consciousness, if used correctly, never ceases to amaze me, and I believe that it is through this inner study we as a race can learn to live in greater harmony with our own bodies and with the world around us. Only when our knowledge of inner technologies and abilities matches our outer progress will we reach our full potential.
Of course the greatest lessons come from practice and, through diligent daily dedication to the art of meditation, I have gained what I believe is a clear vision of the full potential in us all. How the vibrations created through our meditation can become one with our daily consciousness.’

These roles allow him to share his knowledge and experiences with fellow practitioners and contribute to the development of martial arts worldwide.
Beyond his martial arts achievements, he is also a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner in both Hong Kong and Australia. He is a member of prestigious organisations such as the Association of Hong Kong & Kowloon Practitioners of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Chinese Herbalist Association, and Chinese Acupuncture Association (Hong Kong). He has dedicated his career to blending Eastern and Western medical practices, offering a holistic approach to healthcare.
Although growing up in a family of Western medical practitioners, he chose to follow the unconventional field of Chinese medicine, based on his early childhood experiences of Chinese healing and martial arts. His distinctive career in Health and Medicine began in the 1970s, a time when traditional Chinese medicine was not a common pursuit for Westerners, and a practitioner focused on wellness and disease prevention was not the custom. Nevertheless, he remained steadfast in his passion and focus on these areas. To supplement his income and support himself financially, he turned to Information Technology (IT), a completely new field at the time, and taught himself Assembler programming and other programming languages to obtain periodic contract work in large organizations. Over the years, he rose to senior levels in the IT world. His IT pursuits culminated in becoming Managing Director and Founder of Strategic Value Management Limited, his own global consulting firm, assisting large international corporations in deriving value from Information Technology and mitigating risks associated with major change programs and other significant threats through Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning. He was called upon to assist many multinational corporations and governments worldwide, including those in Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A., England, France, and Holland. He also served periodically as an international executive with extensive CIO and IT management experience in large-scale multinational corporations in Australia, United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. He retired from the IT world in the early 2010s to focus without interruption on his life’s passions of Traditional Chinese martial arts, Chinese medicine, health and wellness education and consulting, to help people lead healthy lives.
He holds, and has held, several professional memberships, including being a Fellow of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (retired), a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (retired), the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), the Royal Society of Medicine (UK), the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), the Institute for Functional Medicine, and the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. These affiliations reflect his commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of their field.
Education and certifications are crucial aspects of his career in health and wellness. He completed a Ph.D. in Health Sciences at Columbia Pacific University from 1986 to 1989. Additionally, he has acquired various certifications, including a Certified Plant-Based Nutritionist Certificate from Cornell University’s T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies in 2016, a Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2017, an AFMCP (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice) from the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2020, and further specialized training such as Unconscious Bias in Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine in 2021, and Applying Health Coaching in Patient Care at Doane University in 2021.
As an author, he has published several noteworthy works that bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medical philosophies. Notable publications include “Disease and Diagnosis for the Acupuncturist” (1984), “Everybody’s Health – Time to Reap the Benefits of East and West” (1992), and various online publications and e-books that explore topics such as energy, health, nutrition, and holistic treatments. In his most recent work, “The Art of Living Longer” (2023), he delves into the secrets of longevity, sharing wisdom and insights gained from his extensive experience in both martial arts and healthcare.
Through his multidimensional expertise in martial arts, traditional Chinese medicine, and holistic health, he continues to positively impact the lives of individuals worldwide, empowering them to achieve optimal well-being, healthy longevity, and extension of health span.
